Warranty & Care
What our workmanship warranty covers, how product warranties work, and how to keep your new spaces in good shape.
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our assembly, mounting and installation work for one year from the date of completion. If something we assembled works loose, a mounting we installed fails under normal use, or a fitting we performed proves defective, we return and correct it at no charge.
2. Product Warranties
Furniture, storage systems, fixtures, appliances and accessories carry the warranty of their manufacturer, typically one to five years depending on the item. Because products are purchased at cost in your name or on your behalf, those warranties belong to you. We keep the documentation on file, hand it over at project completion and will help you file a manufacturer claim if something fails.
3. What Our Warranty Covers
- Assembly errors or components fitted incorrectly
- Wall mountings and anchors that fail under normal use
- Shelving, brackets and hardware we installed working loose
- Items we leveled or aligned that shift due to our installation
4. What Our Warranty Does Not Cover
- Manufacturing defects in products, which are covered by the maker
- Normal wear, fading, scratches, dents and general use damage
- Overloading shelving, drawers or mountings beyond their rated weight
- Damage from water, flooding, storms, hurricanes or pests
- Damage from humidity extremes, including a home left unconditioned for a season
- Items moved, altered, reassembled or reinstalled by others after we leave
- Wall or substrate failure caused by unseen prior damage or poor construction
- Cosmetic settling and minor movement typical of furniture over time
5. Making A Claim
Call 407-654-9043 or email info@kitchenandhomestuff.site with your project details, what has happened and a photo. We respond within one business day and schedule a visit where the issue falls within coverage. For product defects we identify the correct manufacturer process and help you through it.
6. Care Guidance For Florida Homes
- Humidity is the main enemy of furniture here. Keep the home conditioned where possible, especially if it sits empty seasonally.
- Wipe spills promptly and never leave water standing on wood, laminate or seams.
- Use mild soap and water rather than ammonia, bleach or abrasive cleaners on most finishes.
- Keep direct sunlight off textiles and wood surfaces, or expect fading and color shift.
- Tighten furniture fasteners once or twice a year, particularly on chairs, tables and bed frames.
- Respect weight ratings on shelving and wall systems, and do not hang from cabinet doors.
- Check drawer slides and cabinet hinges annually and adjust before they wear.
- For seasonal homes, empty perishables, elevate anything on a garage floor and leave interior doors ajar for airflow before closing up.
7. Keeping Organization Systems Working
A well organized pantry or closet stays that way when the system matches the household. Keep the labels, return items to their zones, and do a ten minute reset weekly rather than a full overhaul twice a year. If your needs change, for example a new baby or a downsized wardrobe, call us for an adjustment visit rather than letting the system drift.
8. Adjustment Visit
Every package includes one complimentary follow up visit within 90 days of completion. Save up small adjustments and we will handle them in one trip.
9. Transferability
The workmanship warranty applies to the original client at the original installation address and is not transferable unless agreed in writing.
