Cost Drivers
What moves your number
Two kitchens the same size can price very differently. Here is what actually decides it, so you can steer the budget deliberately.
- How much is being replaced. Reorganizing what you own costs a fraction of furnishing a room from empty.
- Product level. The single biggest variable, and entirely yours to control. We always quote two levels.
- Number of rooms. Doing several together is cheaper per room than coming back three times.
- Installation complexity. Anchoring into tile, plaster or masonry takes longer than drywall.
- Custom versus in stock. Custom pieces look better and add weeks of lead time, which stretches project management.
- Access. Upper floors, tight stairs, elevators and gated communities all add handling time.
- Timing. A deadline such as a closing date or an arrival can mean compressed scheduling.

Money Questions
Payment and terms
Do you really not mark up products?
Correct. You pay what we pay and we show you the receipts. Our income comes from design and labor, which is what keeps our product advice honest.
How do I pay for the products?
Two options. Either you purchase directly using our list and links, or we purchase on your behalf against a product deposit and reconcile the exact amounts at the end with receipts.
What deposit do you require?
Typically 50 percent of the service fee to schedule, with the balance due on completion. Product deposits are separate and cover the actual purchases.
Is the design fee credited?
Yes. If you book a full package within 90 days of receiving a standalone room design plan, the design fee is credited toward it.
Can I do it in stages?
Absolutely, and many clients do. We plan the whole space once, then execute it room by room or phase by phase as budget allows. The plan does not expire.
What is your cancellation policy?
Service deposits are refundable up to 7 days before a scheduled setup, minus any design work already completed. Products already ordered follow the retailer's return policy, and we handle those returns for you where they are still eligible.
Ready to love the room again?
Book a consultation and we will walk the space with you, talk through ideas and send a written plan with real numbers.
