Shipping & Returns
How deliveries, inspections, damaged items, returns and product exchanges are handled on your project.
Last updated: September 19, 2026
1. How Deliveries Work
Most products on a project are shipped by retailers and manufacturers rather than by us. Depending on the item and the retailer, deliveries are scheduled either to your home or, where possible, to our North Port location so we can receive, inspect and stage them ahead of your setup day. Consolidating deliveries this way is one of the main reasons setup day goes smoothly.
2. Delivery Coordination
- We track every order and provide a running status on your project.
- We schedule delivery windows and, where items come to your home, tell you what is arriving and when.
- Large item deliveries usually require an adult present to sign, and that may be you or our crew.
- Curbside, threshold and room of choice delivery levels vary by retailer, and we will tell you which applies.
- Lead times are set by retailers and manufacturers and are estimates, not guarantees.
3. Inspection On Arrival
Every item we receive is inspected before setup day. Where a delivery arrives at your home and we are not present, please check the carton and contents before signing, note any damage on the delivery receipt, photograph it and tell us the same day. Signing a clean delivery receipt for a damaged item can void the carrier claim.
4. Damaged Or Incorrect Items
When something arrives damaged, wrong or incomplete, we handle it. We photograph and document the issue, file the claim with the retailer or carrier, arrange the replacement and update your project timeline. You do not need to sit on hold with a call center. Replacement lead times are outside our control, and where a replacement would delay the whole project we will discuss alternatives with you.
5. Returns
Products purchased for your project are subject to the return policy of the retailer or manufacturer who sold them. Those windows vary widely, commonly 30 to 90 days, and some categories cannot be returned at all. We will tell you the applicable window for significant purchases at the time of ordering.
- We handle eligible returns on your behalf, including packaging and drop off or pickup arrangement.
- Items must generally be unused, in original packaging and with all parts and documentation.
- Some retailers charge restocking fees or deduct return shipping, which is passed through at cost.
- Assembled and installed items are frequently not returnable, so please raise concerns before setup day.
6. Non Returnable Items
- Custom, made to order and personalized products
- Cut to size items such as shelving, blinds and countertops
- Clearance and final sale merchandise
- Mattresses and bedding once opened, in most cases
- Items damaged after delivery through use or handling
- Assembled or installed items where the retailer excludes them
7. Our Return Handling Service
Handling returns and claims within your project is included in package pricing. For returns requested after a project has closed, or for items we did not supply, return handling is billed at our hourly rate plus any retailer fees.
8. Exchanges And Substitutions
Where an item is discontinued or back ordered beyond your timeline, we present substitution options at a similar price and quality level for your approval before ordering. We never substitute without telling you.
9. Storage Of Delivered Items
We can hold received items at our location ahead of setup day at no charge for up to 30 days. Beyond that, or where a project is postponed by the client, storage fees may apply and will be agreed in writing first.
